What is DMCA?

The Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) is a US copyright law that provides a process for copyright owners to request removal of infringing content from online platforms. UrduPhotory respects intellectual property rights and complies with DMCA provisions.

💡 UrduPhotory is a user-generated content platform. We do not upload or control the content posted by users. However, we take copyright violations seriously and will act promptly upon receiving valid DMCA notices.

How to Submit a DMCA Takedown Notice

If you believe your copyrighted work has been posted on UrduPhotory without your permission, please send a written notice to our designated DMCA agent with the following information:

1. Identify the copyrighted work

Describe the copyrighted work that you claim has been infringed (e.g., "My original video titled XYZ")

2. Identify the infringing content

Provide the exact URL of the post on UrduPhotory that contains the infringing content

3. Your contact information

Your full name, email address, and phone number

4. Good faith statement

A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law

5. Accuracy statement

A statement that the information in your notice is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf

6. Your signature

Your physical or electronic signature

We will respond within 48-72 hours

What Happens After We Receive a Notice?

  1. We review the notice within 48-72 hours
  2. If valid, the content is immediately removed
  3. The user who posted the content is notified
  4. Repeat offenders will have their accounts permanently banned

Counter-Notice

If you believe your content was removed by mistake, you may submit a counter-notice to dmca@urduphotory.com explaining why the content does not infringe any copyright.

False DMCA Notices

⚠️ Submitting a false DMCA notice is a serious legal offense. Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), you may be liable for damages if you knowingly misrepresent that content is infringing.

Repeat Infringers

UrduPhotory has a strict policy against repeat copyright infringers. Users who repeatedly violate copyright will have their accounts permanently terminated.
